i really hope i havent lost the love and passion for band.
band in crescent may not have been the best in terms of skills and techniques, but it sure was the enjoyable place to be in during my 4years as a crescentian. well we did screw up performances and even syf`o5, but we pulled ourselves together to eventually put up a splendid one on syf`o7. it wasnt about skills, perfect rhythmic sense and all. it was about the passion for band, the determination to do the school proud, the promise to our seniors and the love for one another and mrschua. i still can remember our syf song, the one which we always sing before syf, the one which always make mrschua tear. it may sound stupid to others, but it held a special place in our hearts for most of the alumni, maybe even up till now. 'if you lose your way, think back on yesterday, remember what we've done, remember we're one'. honestly, i applaud the senior who wrote it. those lines never failed to give us confidence and strength to stand tall and proud on stage, and i do hope they do so to cgssbteamo9 next week as well. and the feeling when we stepped down was awesome, not because we could dump all the stress and burdens to the juniors, but because we knew that we've done something real for the band before marking the end of our journey in cgssb. it wasnt the gold, it was the spirit, the true blue cgssb spirit. life in cgssb wasnt about the applause you receive during performances, it wasnt about how much attention the school gives you too. its about the people, the friendship and yes, the love. jiayou cgssb, fight hard and win the battle next tuesday. dont be afraid, and dont worry, just look at mrschua and thats all the strength you need. we may not be there physically to support you girls, but we'll be praying hard for all of you. you'll make this dream come true with mrschua((=
though hcband doesnt work the same as cgssb, i still think that we can make it if we want to. its the desire i guess, and we wont want to disappoint all our seniors. we'll 拼 for the remaining 36days!=)
jiayou too highschool, i guess we've grown to be a little attached to them, maybe because we share the same band room. all the best jiexuan!=) and ny too, esp cheryl!((=
