im finally back from 6days of holidays! haha, tired, but it was damn fun and enjoyable(((= my family rawks<33
went penang on 17th [HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO!!!!!!!!!] so had to spend the night on the bus. was really cold and i seriously couldnt understand why some random uncle[i din know them at first] had to ask the driver to play some movie. like people were trying to catch some sleep in an uncomfortable position and there you are, adding to our frustration. i swore i would have shot him if i had a gun. haha.
penang was a lot of praying. visited lots of temples and prayed that Os results would be good for me and friends. that was abt all in penang. travelled to thailand the next morning, hatyai. apparently we reached there late so we had to give up half a day of shopping. haha, sad but it gave us some time to rest. dinner was spicy, to me and im sorry but tomyams not my type of soup=( watched some performance after that. nice but was quite scary. you know those typical thai shows, i was rather disgusted. they stood in front of the door after the performance to prevent the audience from leaving so that they could force us to take photos with them and give them money. eeyer, i think a back gate would be damn useful.
2nd day in thai was a lil' temple visiting and praying then after dinner was shopping spree. yay(= heard people go to hatyai to shop. and i believe so too=D got a ring and a racer at the mall and got a necklace when we were roaming around the night market. the stuffs were really really cheap. gosh, i would have bought everything i set my eyes on if i had the strength to carry them home haha. got a belt for kor too, since we still owe a bday present.
fourth day was a whole day of shopping. when to their "pa sha" in the morning and bought a pair of shorts i think. oh, got a bag too. i only rmb we spent alot of time at the stall selling jerseys. had to buy one for kor, but everyone ended up buying for themselves, their sons, boyfriends lalala. think we got 13 in the end. one thing i learnt during that period of time was: the skill of bargaining. i think i've inherited this marvellous skill frm my parents and maybe my grandparents cause my whole family can bargain really well. we got goods for less than half the original price haha. im so proud of my family=P lunch was buffet at some place and we overtook quite abit of food, so ended up we had to divide the food amongst ourselves and force them down our throat. and we had to shove some of them into paperbags discreetly and sneak out of the place=P spent the rest of the afternoon at the same shopping place, got shoes. dinner was at some restaurant where there was a lady singing to entertain us. but seriously, anyone of my family member could sing better than her. oops. my joker cousin still asked me across the table,"ping2 shen3, qing2 gei3 fen1" haha, he is damn funny. after dinner was the last round of shopping before we go home the next morning. went to their pasamalam to spend the remaining thaimoney we had and buy more things of course. and we think we broke the world records. apprently their "tut-tut" [van-like cab] could only sit like 10people max. in the end 19 of us squeezed into the cab, with 2people standing at the back. everyone around us on the road was laughing and the cabdriver was laughing damn hard. im sure he was damn entertained by all of us=D got 2pairs of shorts at the pasamalam and went back to the hotel at 11pm. thought we were gg to pqack and sleep and prepare to go home. BUT. my cousin needed to buy stuffs for her colleagues so all of us went out again to the nightmarkets. got slippers and another necklace and walked alot more. went back at like 12am but 'ahxuan' auntie said we had to buy supper for our fathers and uncles drinking beer and crapping along the corridors on the level we stayed at. so dabao-ed 10pratas back and watched the person making the pratas one by one with our eyelids falling by the minute. reached the hotel at 1am i guess, with our feet all sore and painful due to almost 12hours of shopping. i hoped all the fats which had accumulated in my thighs during these few days of eating have been converted into muscles=DD
reached malaysia at 12am yesterday because there was traffic jam and we stopped lots of time for lunch, toiletbreaks and all. returned to singapore this afternoon with alot of unpacking, washing and packing to do.
on the whole, the trip was nice, of course with my family. and got to know other people living in our hometown and 'ahxuan' auntie's daughter is damn cute. think her name is weimin. and apprently my nephew likes her cause he kept following her around, so we kept teasing him these few days. but her daughter is only2years old larh, haha, so we were just crapping and joking nonstop. wellwell, i liked my family like that, all happy and cheery, helping one another carry bags, buying drinks, talking nonstop and laughing at our own jokes. if only the whole of my family can be like that. but for a family of 80+, its not really easy eh. OH WELL. my family still rawks<33333
