G.O.L.D. tts it. cgssb, a solid gold band.
1oo4o7, the day we've been working really hard for. rehearsal in the morning wasnt really good, and we were scared. no confidence, no faith. oh well. but after some motivation speeches as usual, the band became so high and morale was so high. we were so determined to bring back a gold at least. oh yarh, many thanks to all the bandits for all your cards/gifts/letters blahblah, teachers and friends who wished us well and of course, the dancers for all their support.
reached SCH at around 1?! and started to freak out cos they were announcing the results of the morning session. mrschua came in to say anglican did really well but only managed a silver. demoralised. even when we were in the tuning room, we sounded really unstable still. tried to calm ourselves down while we were waiting to play. nervous, but i rmb what heng said. no fear, clarice is here((=
so when we went on stage, we were left there for a few minutes for i-dunno-wad reason. when mrschua finally came on stage and we played the tuning note, the power came. haha. tts wad we thought larh. tubas/euphos started sunrise well and it went on rather smoothly. ending note was surprisingly quite in tune which somehow boosted our confidence. yayness(= then came dpd, greatest fear of the day. mrschua stood in front of us and reminded us on the speed. before she went back up, she mouthed,"just play". i supposed it was telepathy or wad, but three of us knew we had to play and wanted to ace it so badly. and there. it was the best opening we've played in public(((= and i supposed it gave the trumpets and trombones a good start, so both sections played quite well i should say. tripletongue was good, winds' [16] was rather in tune and eupho solo was really good((= when mrschua finally put down her hand, we were beaming like mad. went down stage feeling damn high. mrschua said we played our best and mslow said it was the best we've ever played. so we were very happy, and cun be bothered abt the results somehow.
anw, the results are out and true enough, we got a gold. one tt we truely deserved. we watched mrschua so closely and really focussed on stage, and im really proud of the band.
its something tt people not in it wun understand. but today, as the sec4s end their band journey, we are proud to say tt we belong to cgssb and will always be with the band.
