=))random drawings. i suddenly realise tt bandits and dancers o4-o7 are rather close. they were so anxious to know our syf results and we were so fidgety in class this morn cos of their results. and we are so happy, for our own cca and for one another. quite funny but true. congratulations crescentdance!! GOLD WITH HONOURS!!!!!!!!! oh man, all the hardwork, morning practices, intensives... and as they said, 死也要拼出来, true enough, they got the results they truely deserved. though we're not in dance, but i can still feel the joy and all, maybe cos my friends around me are mostly dancers. im so happy for them, though quite alot of them wetted my blouse. welldone dance, im truely proud of you(((=
amidst all the celebrations and cheering, there were some not-so-good news too. right before lessons ended, lily received a message frm her aunt, saying her ahma's condition became worse. chye and i couldnt help but cried with her. she used to be so strong, and was so happy cos of their gwh a few hours ago, but everythings so different now. shes really scared and worried. we felt so useless, we could do nothing for her, but pray hard. im sure we're all willing to do anything for her. whats more mids starts tml, how can she even focus at this point of time? sometimes i wonder why things like this happen at this crucial moment for her. jiayou lily, we will pray hard for your ahma, and im sure she will recover. we love you always.

mixedfeelings this few days i guess.
silver for choir's syf. gail said judging was strict like ours, so a silver is rather good i suppose. anyhow, welldone choristers, crescent is proud of you((=
dance syf yesterday. gave alot of hugs to many. and jeanne said i was like a teddy bear, hugging everyone and getting hugged frm everyone. whatever jeanne, be thankful okay. went to mpr after mocks and ms ng gave us a thumbs-up sign. i was so happy for them kay. and im sure they had put up a wonderful performance, and kept that passion for dance burning. im truely proud of them and they will get what they deserve tml. i await excellent news tml morning dancers. we'll always love you people. jiayou sister-cca(((=
darling huahua's ahma got admitted into nuh yesterday before their syf. i was so worried but she was really strong, she survived the whole of syf. she left for nuh after syf, w/o gg for celebrations with the rest of the dancers. im so proud of lily, able to multitask and all. lets just hope her ahma will recover really soon and huahua will be really happy. jiayou lily's ahma, we will pray for you, always. 我爱你lilyphoa, we'll be there if you need us<33

preparations for mids gg on rather smoothly. but somethings bugging me. alot. its like every 1/2/4, we go home so early. too early. and its the sense of emptiness i dunno know. i used to dread band practs back in sec1 cos they were long and tiring. but tuesday was so different. we left the library for home at ard 4.30pm. as we walked out, we looked down and saw the parade square. it was so empty. exceptionally quiet, too quiet to be exact. usually, you would see us carrying instruments, rushing in and out of the band room, making alot of "noise"[we call tt music], sls clapping like mad, leaders running ard the whole parade square like some marathon etc etc. tuesdays, a typical band day. and surprisingly, bands the only few ccas tt have practs on tuesday. so tuesdays w/o band, the school looks empty, sounds empty, feels empty. so weird huh. there was this sudden tinge of sadness in us when we saw it on tuesday. something tt seemed indescribable[sp?] at that very point of time.
come to think of it, i realise i'll miss band alot alot alot after 14th, esp frenchhorn section. how heng's been with me for all my four years in cgssb, how shes been my motivation to work hard, how she had helped me loads when the role of an sl became tough. and darling lian, whos always there when things were difficult for the seniors, whos always there when juniors needed help. and juniors, who're always tt helpful and tt guai during sectionals. they were so nice to buy me food when i sent them off for breaks at cheers kay. im so proud of them. haha. many many little little things... and of course, to help me carry stuffs, buy food and buy panadol when i was having an "arrghghgh" fever that very saturday before syf. and as the mama of the section, im so proud of you girls and just so thankful to be able to have you all with me all these while. not forgetting janice, whom though was often sick, but is always there to give us morale support when our opening was really bad. jiayou sectionmate, you must recover soon kay.
4years as a horn-ist, i must say i've learned alot, frm seniors, frm peers, frm juniors even. seniors like annie, ruth, sy, yt, michelle, ej, mel. they are like the best seniors tt are so so supportive. and thankew to those who rmbed us on syf day, esp ej and sy, who actually came down to help us with preparation itself<33 peers like heng, xl, lw, tie, yuen, kialeng... though we are having fun all the time, we know when to be serious and all. its sooo great working with all of you((= MRSCHUA! haha. she is the best conductor man. alot of learning points here and there, and im sure i'll lose a great advisor and "mother"=P after we step down. many lessons and things tt i'll take away with me as i leave this band, but like yan said," although we're not here anymore, our spirit will always be here". sounds like some non-living human, but true huh.

G.O.L.D. tts it. cgssb, a solid gold band.
1oo4o7, the day we've been working really hard for. rehearsal in the morning wasnt really good, and we were scared. no confidence, no faith. oh well. but after some motivation speeches as usual, the band became so high and morale was so high. we were so determined to bring back a gold at least. oh yarh, many thanks to all the bandits for all your cards/gifts/letters blahblah, teachers and friends who wished us well and of course, the dancers for all their support.
reached SCH at around 1?! and started to freak out cos they were announcing the results of the morning session. mrschua came in to say anglican did really well but only managed a silver. demoralised. even when we were in the tuning room, we sounded really unstable still. tried to calm ourselves down while we were waiting to play. nervous, but i rmb what heng said. no fear, clarice is here((=
so when we went on stage, we were left there for a few minutes for i-dunno-wad reason. when mrschua finally came on stage and we played the tuning note, the power came. haha. tts wad we thought larh. tubas/euphos started sunrise well and it went on rather smoothly. ending note was surprisingly quite in tune which somehow boosted our confidence. yayness(= then came dpd, greatest fear of the day. mrschua stood in front of us and reminded us on the speed. before she went back up, she mouthed,"just play". i supposed it was telepathy or wad, but three of us knew we had to play and wanted to ace it so badly. and there. it was the best opening we've played in public(((= and i supposed it gave the trumpets and trombones a good start, so both sections played quite well i should say. tripletongue was good, winds' [16] was rather in tune and eupho solo was really good((= when mrschua finally put down her hand, we were beaming like mad. went down stage feeling damn high. mrschua said we played our best and mslow said it was the best we've ever played. so we were very happy, and cun be bothered abt the results somehow.
anw, the results are out and true enough, we got a gold. one tt we truely deserved. we watched mrschua so closely and really focussed on stage, and im really proud of the band.
its something tt people not in it wun understand. but today, as the sec4s end their band journey, we are proud to say tt we belong to cgssb and will always be with the band.

tablet is getting on my nerves. sheesh.
ohwell, 4moredays, 2morepractices, 1moreexperience, nomoreband. tt sums up what is gg to happen to me and the sec4s for the next few days. last lap alr. we've walked, jogged, ran for the past half a year, working towards it. now its time for us to sprint this last lap and chiong all the way. i think shermins powerful. she has the ability to cui1 lei4.
had talks yesterday. shermin/xiling to us, yuen/tie to us, us to jnrs. if not for the security guard, we wld have camped in the band room last night. the first time we left the band room w/o hearing anyone grumbling abt how fierce snrs are i suppose. and shermin's way of speaking and her way of making us listen was really good. tearjerking though. oh wells, section talk was quite successful though. and i guess the jnrs understand the fact tt the seniors want very much to prove our ability, to be proud of cgssb, to make magic. its not easy, but we've come thus far, so theres nothing to be afraid of. the next few days are gg to be tiring, stressful and all. but im sure all of us can overcome every obstacle and stand tall at the end of the day.
after tuesday, nobodys gg say we are a byluck gold band. nothing is byluck in this world. if you've put in your best and practised hard, gods gg to give you wad you deserve. no such thing as luck alone. if you are good, if you are prepared, luck will be on your side no doubt. because he knows tt you've put in the efforts, he will be by your side. and we will do just fine.
play music. notes are there to aid you. its the emotions and the expressions tt make good music. always believe tt the rest of the band will always be with you. you will never be alone. never. if anything is gg to happen, the whole band is gg to bear it with you. no such thing as me, no such thing you, but a CGSSB. we will brave through all the obstacles tgt, as one.

many months down. 1odays to go.
its been a long, tough and sometimes tiring journey. we shall stay strong for the next 1o days, and hang in there till the very last lap. its not gg to be easy. our pride, the result of our hardowrk, our love for the band. no one is gg to say we are a 'by luck' gold band anymore. after 1oo4, we shall stand proud and show the others we are a gold band. solid gold band.
"sunrise viewing" day. went to school quite early, joined those who stayed overnight in sch to watch sunrise. sat at the back gate, like some prisoners till uncle was kind enough to open the gates for us. walked the mass run route with adel and others, trying to catch sunrise. wasnt very clear. but we managed to catch a few glimpses of it. was nice and beautiful i guess. well, partly because we went as a sec4 group, with a common goal, with similar mindsets. yayness. we shall make the sun rise again in the afternoon of 1oo4((=
